What's Happening at Oak View Elementary School!
Principal Advisory Committee
The window is open for candidate declarations for the Principal Advisory Committee. A brief overview of committee responsibilities is below as well as the link to declare candidacy. Please take a brief moment to consider being apart of this accountability team. Our ultimate goal is to increase student achievement and make Oak View ES a model school of excellence!
Parent/Guardian Eligibility: All elected Principal Advisory Council member terms will be two years in length. To serve on the Principal Advisory Council in the elected "Parent/Guardian" position, you must have a child attending the school during both the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 academic years.

Summer Bridge Workbooks
Summer Bridge Workbooks
We have purchased summer bridge activity workbooks for students to practice skills over the summer. It is strongly suggested that they follow the pacing to have routine practice which should hopefully reduce the summer learning gap. These books are completely free of charge to parents but an expensive cost to the school, so I want to provide the opportunity to those who are serious about working over the summer. If you are interested, please submit the completed form. All books will be given to students the last week of school.
Summer Literacy Camp
Get Georgia Reading with myOn
Let's keep our kids reading during the summer. Oak View is supporting the Get Georgia Reading Campaign by encouraging our students to read each day. myOn is an excellent resource that is simple to use and does not cost any money. Students can login to myOn using a cell phone, tablet, iPad, or computer. They can read at home or on the go. Please refer to the flyer for more information on the Get Georgia Reading Campaign, myOn, and accessing myOn using your electronic device.
Have a great Summer! Oak View Library Media Center
